Orconomics Wins at 10th Annual National Indie Excellence Awards

The National Indie Excellence Awards recently announced the winners of the 10th Annual Awards, and I'm excited to say that Orconomics: A Satire did very well. Gorm and his crew took the top prize in the Humor category, while also being honored as a finalist in the Fantasy category. You can see all of the winners and finalists at the NIEA website.

According to NIEA's own press releases, the National Indie Excellence Awards exists to help establish independent publishing as a strong and proud facet of the publishing industry. Recognizing authors that put their heart and soul into their work, the NIEA is proud to be a champion of self-publishers and small and independent presses that go the extra mile to produce books of excellence in every aspect. Established in 2007, the NIEA competition is judged by independent experts from all aspects of the indie book industry, including publishers, writers, editors, book cover designers and professional copywriters.

I'm proud, humbled, and all the other things you typically hear when people win awards. Sometimes the clichés fit. Besides, the best acceptance speeches blog posts are the short ones.
